Leinster leads the all-time head-to-head record against Munster with approximately 76 wins to Munster's 56 wins and 8 draws as of 2024. The rivalry, known as the "Irish Derby," is one of rugby's most intense provincial competitions, with Leinster historically dominating due to greater resources and player depth. Recent years have seen the gap narrow, with both provinces competing fiercely in the United Rugby Championship.
