Ulster Rugby's most successful seasons were 1998-99, when they won the European Cup (Heineken Cup), and 1999-2000, when they reached another European final. The 1998-99 season stands as their greatest achievement, clinching both the interprovincial championship and European title under coach Harry Williams. These seasons established Ulster as a major force in European rugby during that era.
