Ireland has reached the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals in every tournament since 1987, with their best performance being a semi-final appearance in 2023 when they lost to South Africa. The team has also reached quarter-finals in 1991, 1995, 2003, 2007, 2011, 2015, and 2019, establishing themselves as one of the tournament's consistently strong nations despite never winning the World Cup.
