Ulster Rugby is one of Ireland's four provincial rugby unions, founded in 1879, and has won the Heineken Cup once in 1999 when they defeated Colomiers in the final. The province, based in Belfast and representing six counties in Northern Ireland and three in the Republic, has produced legendary players like Mike Gibson and Jackie Kyle, and competes in the United Rugby Championship and European Rugby Champions Cup.
