Ireland has won the Grand Slam three times in rugby union: 1948, 1949, and 2009. The 2009 Grand Slam, achieved under coach Declan Kidney, is their most recent and was particularly notable as it came during the Six Nations Championship era. These remain Ireland's only Grand Slam victories in international rugby.
