Ireland rugby has 15 positions divided into forwards (1-8) and backs (9-15), with roles like hooker, prop, flanker, scrum-half, and fly-half. Legend Brian O'Driscoll is widely considered the greatest Irish centre, while Johnny Sexton became the finest fly-half. Other all-time greats include Keith Wood at hooker, Paul O'Connell in the second row, and Peter Stringer as scrum-half.
