Ireland has appeared in every Rugby World Cup since 1987, reaching the quarter-finals in most tournaments and the semi-finals in 2023, but has never won the competition. Their best performances include reaching quarter-finals consistently and a notable semi-final appearance in 2023 where they lost to South Africa. Ireland has produced world-class players throughout their World Cup history but has not yet achieved a championship victory.
