Leinster last won the European Rugby Champions Cup in 2018, defeating Racing 92 15-12 in the final at the San Matteo stadium in Bilbao. This was their fourth title in the competition. They have not won it since then, with their most recent final appearance coming in 2023 when they lost to La Rochelle.
